Description

 

White or almost white crystalline powder, odourless.

 

Indications

 

For the treatment and prevention of lower respiratory tract infections, urinary tract, biliary tract infections and intra-abdominal infections, pelvic infections, skin and soft tissue infections, bone and joint infections, sepsis, meningitis, and prevention of surgical infections caused by sensitive pathogens. A single dose of this product can treat simple gonorrhea.

 

Usage and Dosage

 

Intramuscular injection or intravenous drip.
1. Intramuscular injection solution preparation: add 3.6 ml sterilized water for injection, sodium chloride injection, 5% dextrose injection or 1% lidocaine hydrochloride in 1 g vial, to prepare ceftriaxone solution. 1ml solution contains 250 mg ceftriaxone.
2. Intravenous administration solution preparation: add 9.6 ml diluent above (except lidocaine) in 1 g vial to prepare ceftriaxone solution. 1ml solution contains 100 mg ceftriaxone. Dilute with 5% dextrose injection or sodium chloride injection 100~250 ml for intravenous drip.

Adults: The intramuscular or intravenous drip: 1~2 g every 24 hours or 0.5~1 g every 12 hours. The maximum dose is 4 g/day. The treatment lasts for 7~14 days.

Pediatric usual dose: intravenous drip. 20~80 mg/kg, body weight daily. Children above 12 years old follow the adult dosage.

The recommended dose for gonorrhea is a single dose of 0.25 g, intramuscular injection.
