Description

 

This product is white or almost white crystals or loose lumps.

 

Indications

 

For the treatment of the following infections caused by the sensitive pathogens:

1.      Community-acquired pneumonia induced by chlamydia pneumoniae, Haemophilus influenzae, legionella pneumophila, Moraxella catarrhalis, staphylococcus aureus, and streptococcus pneumoniae, which should be treated firstly with IV drip.

2.      Pelvic inflammation induced by Chlamydia trachomatis, Neisseria gonorrhea, Mycoplasma Hominis, which should be treated with IV drip. If there is combined anaerobic infections, the antibiotics against anaerobes should be used together.

 

Usage and Dosage

 

Dissolve the product with water for injection, to obtain 0.1 g/ml solution, then added into 250 ml or 500 ml of 0.9% sodium chloride injection or 5% glucose injection, the final azithromycin concentration is 1.0-2.0 mg/ml, IV drip, the infusion rate should be 1 mg/ml for 3 hours or 2 mg/ml for 1 hour. When in treatment of community-acquired pneumonia, 0.5 g for adults each time, once daily, at least two consecutive days. Then take oral preparations of azithromycin, 0.5 g daily, 7-10 days as one course. The doctor should determine when to take oral preparations based on clinical reactions. When in treatment of pelvic inflammation, 0.5 g for adults each time, once daily, after one or two days, take oral preparations, 0.25 g, 7 days as one course. The doctor should determine when to take oral preparations based on clinical reactions. If there is anaerobic infection, the antibiotics against anaerobes should be used together.
