【Indications】

1. It can reduce the mortality rate of myocardial infarction as secondary prevention.
2. Hypertension (single usage or in combination with other anti-hypertensive drugs).
3. Exertional angina.
4. It can control supraventricular tachyarrhythmias and ventricular arrhythmias, especially arrhythmia caused by catecholamines or digitalis. It can be used for atrial flutter with poor digitalis efficacy and control of atrial fibrillation ventricular. It can also be used for systole in intractable period and improve the patient's symptoms.
5. It can reduce outflow tract pressure difference of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HMC) and relieve symptoms such as angina , palpitations and fainting .
6. It can be used in combination with α-receptor inhibiter for patients with pheochromocytoma and control tachycardia.
7. It can be used to control the rapid heart rate of hyperthyroidism.  It can also be used to treat thyroid crisis.

【Usage and Dosage】

1. Hypertension: oral administration. The initial dose is 10 mg (1 tablet) for 3-4 times/day. It can be used alone or in combination with diuretics. The dose should be gradually increased with a maximum dosage of 200 mg/day (20 tablets).
2. Angina: The initial dose is 5-10 mg (half or 1 tablet) for 3-4 times/ day. The dosage can be increased by 10-20 mg (1-2 tablets) every three days. It can be increased to maximum dosage of 200 mg (20 tablets)/day in separate times.
3. Arrhythmia: oral administration, 10-30 mg (1-3 tablets)/day in separate 3-4 times. Take before meals and sleep.
4. Myocardial infarction: 30-240 mg (3-12 tablets)/day in separate 2-3 times.
5. Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy: 10-20 mg (1-2 tablets)/day in separate 3-4 times. The dosage should be adjusted according to patient’s need and tolerance degree.
6. Pheochromocytoma: 10-20 mg (1-2 tablets)/day in separate 3-4 times. Take three days before surgery. The α-receptor inhibiter should be administrated first and then in combination with propranolol when the efficacy is stable.
